We are an international operating horse breeding and training farm located in the beautiful town of Covington, Georgia. We specialize in breeding colored sport horses and ponies for a wide variety of disciplines including dressage, show jumping and eventing.

About us

Over the years, the breeding program of Gone Away Farm is existing out of excellent breeding mares with outstanding international and local US Warmblood stallions, including: Oldenburg, Trakehner, Westfalen, Hanoverian and New Zealand Sporthorse bloodlines. We work as a team with breeders, trainers, riders and veterinarians to make sure our horses are in excellent health conditions.

Jean C. Fowler graduated as an Animal Science from the California Polythecnic State University and earned her DVM from Gregorio Araneta Institute of Veterinary Medicine. Jean Fowler has worked with Agricultural Extension and now is recognized as a Sport Horse breeder in Georgia.

International Internships

We have built an international network, having interns from different countries such as Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Colombia, Brazil and Ecuador. We believe that an international experience is important to develop  communication skills, cultural relationships and professional references.

Honduras Missions

We work with Equinos de Honduras (EQUHS) to improve equine welfare in the country. Sharing the importance of nutrition, good management, health care and general equine husbandry.

Gone Away Gone Green – Encouraging the Sustainable Education

Gone Away Farm is concerned with sustainable agriculture, soil preservation and water quality. The Sustainable Agricultural Land Management course offered by the University of Florida for free through the online course platform “Coursera” is a great study tool within the themes of agricultural and urban water quality issues, land and nutrient management strategies, and the science and policy behind the best management practices. Gone Away Farm encourages its team to be concerned with the sustainable development of the environment, in order to apply sustainable practices in the farm and contribute to the best possible management of pastures and water quality. Interns are encouraged to grow in Sustainable Education through the Sustainable Agricultural Land Management Course developed by University of Florida.
